Both of those trades are terrible.

huge overpay for patches and an overpay for skinner. patches value is at an all time low based on his last year and now that montreal wants to trade him ASAP. if anything any team willing to get patches has the advantage. on skinner, also on a down year, the canes are not at a great spot cap wise soon. they are kinda in a situation where they have to clear cap too. so he won't get that much either.

Over payment? Lol. Anisimov is essentially a cap dump at this’ll point. So it’s potentially two late first round picks who probably will never be impact players for a guy who constantly put up over 30 goals with no center! And he also had the worst shooting percentage of his career last season and missed 20 games, since last year is your only argument. Not saying he is worth a lot more than that trade but hab fans will be very diasappointed with that offer. Especially if Chicago makes the playoffs and that 1st rounder is in the late 20s

Bergevin is a **** awful GM, you won't have to give up that much for Patches. Plus, Habs toolbox up there is wrong, Anisimov is worth acquiring, just so long as you have someone else on his line who's really good at faceoffs, haha.

yes. jokiharju is a A+ prospect projected to be a huge impact on any team's top 4. patches is almost 30 coming off of a terrible year. anisimov is not great but did you not see free agency this year? his contract looks just fine now. anisimov and a 1st at most for patches for me.

He is top an A+ prospect bud. He is a good prospect on a team that has very little in that department. You put patches with Toews this year and you could easily get a 35+ goal season. Anisimov is a third line center who gets 30 pts. We already have 4 of those guys lol. So if that’s the offer then no chance you get a guy like Pacioretty or Skinner for the full year

...... drouin is not even a center, you picked a random center in this draft so lets just slot him on the 1st line for the sake of the convo, then you have danault oh and the old ass plekanec. you miss out on tavares AND o'reilly. you could use as much centers as you can get man.

The Hawks 1st rounder still have the potential to be a very good pick

Everyone knows he isn’t a center, but Anisimov isn’t going to help the team lol. He is a third line center. He is the same as Danualt and Plekanec at this stage. And another three years of him? It’s fine if it’s just a cap dump and they make him part of the deal but at no point does he help the deal. And the track record of the vast majority of late first round picks is bad. Maybe 1 in 30 actually become impact players. Most turn out to be 3rd and 4th line guys or 3rd pairing D
