Superman-punch in the game 7 in ACC and then next action is series winning goal. Bieksa would be a hero in Toronto lol grin

I think you could bring in Bieksa on a PTO in Sept. Could be a solid depth guy!

I think if he doesnt sign now they would do it. And he still has something in tank. Playing with Gardiner would be fine.

All those teams, except Detroit are in playoff contention. I don't see them trading a RHD starting or even 7th Dman for futures or a fringe NHL winger. And Jensen is he really better than anyone in the bottom hopeful that the Leafs.
Bieska? I'm just guessing the would rather retire in California than travel east. Makes you wonder why the Ducks haven't signed him. Maybe he has nothing left,,,,well not enough to depend on him for 82 games. Even if he was Polak good, I like would him playing 40 games for the Leafs.

Sammy we talked earlier about the Leafs going defence heavy instead of getting centres in the entry draft. At the time we didn't know Tavares was going to be a Leaf. Hard to believe, that Kyle was wiser than us.

Thats why I think deal with the Detroit is the most realistic one. Jensen fits in Dubas type defender category very well with his speed and getting out of zones. With Hronek coming up I see the possibility of getting him and Leivo would help them on PPs a lot with his shot. Thats at least what I was thinking..
Bieksa is very good team guy and if there is possibility of getting him for 1 year we could try it. He is not bad at all.. the question is.. can he keep up with the pace for one more year? For cheap we can try it. We dont need much on D. If something than PK stay-at-home guy who would protect the net and be a veteran presence for youngsters developing. Just for 2 years, than Rasanen comes back and he is paired with Rielly.

Palhal, yeah we bashed on it but when I looked at it with Tavares on team it really started to make sence. And I want to say sorry to Kyle for bashing on it. Thats probably why I would never be a GM tears of joy .. Sandin is going to grow a feet or two and Durzi has good size. We have great young D prospect pool after this draft and I think that we would likely see Sandin in 2021 as a starter and D-core would be like this (if zaitsev not moved).. and it would be fascinating to see because all of those guys are speedy, solid two way defenders who play smart on both ends of ice.

            Rielly-Rasanen
            Dermott-Liljegren
            Sandin-Zaitsev

No you'll be a good GM, it just at this time you didn't have the inside knowledge of what going in JTs mind. Actually I think Kyle and were surprised Tavares pick the Leafs. Really I don't know if any team knew for sure what Tavares was going to do. It's like going to a restaurant and you have the choice of five great entrees. You can look over the menu for 10 minutes and then when the waiter comes for your decision, you really don't know what you are going to say, but you blurt out something.
I'm like you, I'm optimistic about the Leafs future Dmen. And even if you have to trade for one, you do have forwards that will get you value in a trade.
