But if a deal goes through where OTT trades both Karlsson and Ryan, they do have cap floor issues. im pretty sure not many of the teams "in" on karlsson have players with salary that would waive their NTC clause to go to OTT. and with OTT releasing the new budget of practically not spending money at all, Hossa is perfect for that. he has a 5 mil cap hit, with only 1 mil of actually salary to be paid. hes the perfect contract for OTT. lots off money on the book but no actual money spent. and, if by some miracle they can stock up on 1st's they have a slightly better shot at jack hughes (even if COL have their 1st.) I think it would just come down to a grandstand of dorion/melnyk and bowman being hard headed about wanting "extra" for helping the other team.
