Description

Reported asking price for Skinner is a first rounder and a prospect, didn't want to give up a high profile guy like JFK, Heinen or Zboril, so added a second and Lauzon to make up for it

McQuaid becomes the odd man out (sorry Quaider, i wish we could keep you) so it made sense to trade him and free up some cap space

Kuraly and Backes could rotate for that 3C position, I think Kuraly may win it over later in the season

Notable omission to the staring lineup is Bjork: he will start in the AHL just to get acclimated to the game a bit more. He should be a full time NHLer by mid season.

Anthony Duclair is one of those low risk, potentially high reward type of players. He has struggled, but he is talented and only 22. Worth giving him a 2 year, 2 way deal and start him in the AHL, then see what happens from there.

Feel like the 4th line is gonna be Wagner-kuraly-Acciari/Nordström. Gives us a back up option on face offs. We have so many pieces it’s hard to tell whose gonna play where. I think jfk/Frederic/studnicka are gonna get a real shot at the third line center position, just my opinion tho

yeah that would make sense, extra centres are always a plus. as for 3C, i agree that JFK or Studnicka could make a real push for it. maybe not Frederic yet, i think he needs another year of seasoning, but the other 2 for sure

i could see that happening, obviously Skinner would be a good start, and would probably cost less than Panarin, but another addition wouldnt hurt. we could even look at the free agents still remaining, a guy like Antoine Vermette could fill that 3C position nicely.
