OK my turn:
If yakupov is maybe worth a 2nd rounder (As per alleged asking price at the deadline) and Pouliot is at best worth a 3rd rounder with 1M salary coming back, then does two 2nd rounders and two 3rd's get you Simmonds (former 1st rounder) and Robert Hagg (Former 1st rounder)? I think not. And lets just say it is, there are teams that would offer better quality in return for those 2 guys. Not too mention that Philly has no reason to trade Simmonds right now. Especially for lesser good players.
NYI trade is kind of too much but i can't tell for who exactly. Hard to tell. I will say this, People over evaluate Hamonic. He's a solid player but he isn't a Norris trophy calibre defenseman. The only reason he's so sought after is because of the position (RH big Dman). Also Garth Snow has said publicly that if he trades Hamonic which if he can, he will, it will be for another equivalent d-man in return. They are already stacked on offence. They need quality d-men and/or a possible future 1A goalie prospects. If you tailored the trade to more of what NYI needs then maybe this one happens.
Just don't see these trades happening. For the signings, i think Lucic is a huge overpayment for what he brings especially at 7 years but knwoing Chiarelli he will probably go after Lucic. I don't mind the Schenn one. Decent cap hit. Also think long term, You got to sign McDavid and Draisaitl to big contracts soon.
Also you seem to know more then me about Oiler players and such, why is everyone giving Kassian a raise on his next contract? What is the logic in this? If anything i think he needs to reduce his demands. He has yet to prove anything to merit a 2M cap hit.... And his reputation is anything but "model like". He should take whatever he can get.
