Who do you believe would be in a trade then? You have to give to get in this league. Ryan O’Reilly would easily make St. Louis the deepest team down the middle if this deal was made. I would say Schenn-O’Reilly is better than Johansen-Turris.

You have to give to get in this league and if the Blues want to seriously compete next year, they have to do something about their center depth.

I don’t think giving up a guy who could be a better center then ROR in 3 years, plus next years first round draft pick is helping the depth though. With Schenn already there I would just wait it out and not give up a young elite piece for a 27 year old second line center that makes 7.5 million a year.

That is not enough. Tage Thompson isn’t a good enough prospect that Buffalo is looking for. Sobotka is just a throw in and wouldn’t make much of a difference. In my opinion, Buffalo would pass on that offer.
