What, no Tavares?

lol trying to be somewhat realistic, I just think he is too loyal to the Islanders plus adding Lou and Trotz along with a group of good/very good young players/prospects around him. Barzal, Beauvillier, drafting Wahlstrom, Dobson along with a few really good players who seem to be right in their prime like Eberle, Josh Bailey, Anders Lee, Brock Nelson. Lou will have to work his magic and get them a goalie and solidify their D core but i think he can convince JT that he will be able to do that.

I agree. Long term I don't see it being in the Lightning or Leafs best interest to sign him as they both have alot of young players which they would have to sacrifice in order to add Tavares. The Lightning have unfortunately signed several guys to contracts which they are starting to regret, but hopefully they realize how to adjust without emptying the cupboard.
