no way Nylander signs for Marleau money. Marner asking for 10 mil not that he's gonna get that but he's gonna be looking at 8. Nylander same thing

Most experts have Nylander between 6-7m so not sure why you say 'no way'. I think it's possible he gets $7-8....but somewhere between $6.5-7 seems most appropriate.

You are correct on Marner tho...he's waiting to see what Matthews goes for are will piggy back off of that.

I think Marner and Nylander are going to get indentical contracts. them being so close in age and skill its almost insulting if one gets more then another.

No thanks to Ian Cole...but that's me...I don't think he adds value to the lineup

I initially really didn't like the Pleks signing....but 1yr at $4m would make sense for the Leafs...probably not him though....I'd think he'd rather go back to Montreal for less money on a longer term (and possibly play higher than a 3/4C

I wouldn't think you'd need to add anything to the Myers trade. To be honest...Winnipeg is more likely to trade him for prospects or picks (no cap hit going back to them) than for a LHD. I think the value is spot on given their contracts and contributions to their team...but could likely get him for the leafs #1 alone....and then if you want to move Gardiner...you could get a different asset elsewhere...but based on your lineup..I'd much rather put Jake in there for 1 more year than sign Ian Cole...

just my thoughts tho.

Just my opinion...but I think Marner is on a different level from Nylander....unless Nylander can take over a #2C role and thrive in it (sign a 1yr extension to prove himself)...he shouldn't be getting the same as Marner. Mitch quarterbacks the powerplay and, as soon as he got moved off the 4th line...produced at more than a point per game pace....and if you saw him in junior...you know he's just getting warmed up.

I see Nylander as a top line winger, but Marner can run his own line top and can run the power play. Gets about 8 and Nylander gets 7 tops.

Ian Cole can play a 5-6 role on the Leafs, if a prospect pushes him out of the lineup I think he can be traded quite easily at that cap hit.

Plec was an idea I came up with on the spot I think its a good signing if he wants to win.

The Jets need a top 4 left shot defense man and playing Myers on the bottom pairing is wasting his talent he isn't a top pairing guy but can play solid top 4 minutes.
