I like this. I went similar in all aspects. Pulled in Ryan Ellis in the Nyquist trade to add another decent defenceman to help this group. Other than that pretty similar.. now if only Holland would do this...

Thats why you throw a fourth round pick and Evgeny Svechnikov. Carolina made it pretty clear they're taking Andrei Svecnikov at #2, why not have the brothers on the same team.

I imagine CAR says no. No way they give up on Hanifin for only forward depth players. We have plenty of options in the middle/bottom 6. If Hanifin is traded, it’ll more likely be a 1 for 1 type deal for top flight/high potential forward. But my guess is as good as yours haha

Ken Holland is also on record stating that the brothers wont play together, Holland isn't dealing Evgeny Svechnikov to Carolina. If the brothers play together it's in Detroit not Carolina. Andrei Svechnikov is on record stating that he wants to play with his brother Evgeny in Detroit and nowhere else.

yeah the brothers have been vocal about playing together which puts a bit more pressure on Carolina than Detroit. They want the younger and more skilled and maybe do swing a deal for big brother just to keep him happy. unless we send larkin or mantha in a deal I don't think you get hanifin back. Id rather a smaller deal for svech and maybe get a pick or 2
