Description
Pick who you'd select as the expansion GM. LTIR show 7F, 3D, 1G that are protected. Players on non roster are exempt. Anyone on the roster is up for grabs. I realize the draft might not be for next season, this is for fun.
Let's say NTC can be exposed, NMC are auto protected.

I wonder if Datsuyk would be ok with being exposed in this situation. It'd be his last year of his contract and I don't think an expansion GM would use a selection on a player they'd only have for one season. At least I wouldn't.

Wouldn't the Wings want to protect Mzarek and leave Howard exposed? Regarding Datsyuk and other players in similar situations. Let's imagine Vegas takes him, and Datsyuk has the enthusiasm to play well with that new team. At TDL, Vegas trades him to a contending...the Hawks? for a draft pick or two. Gee, maybe Datsyuk would prefer to go to Vegas because he might think he has better chance to win a Cup (when traded) than staying with Detroit all season.

If you read my description, you'll find that this is an EXPOSED list. LTIR shows who I'd protect, which is where you'll find Mrazek. PROTECTED. You're supposed to select a player from the list if you were an expansion GM.
