Out of curiosity....why are Edmonton fans looking to move out Drai?

I'd think they're better off with him than with that package from Montreal. I think, in the short term, his contract will seem a bit high...but as the cap rises and his game continues to improve, it'll look better. I wouldn't be looking to move him unless a legit star is coming back the other way. Gally is nice and the high picks have a lot of potential,,,but I'd stick with Drai

I’m not actually hoping the Oilers Trade Drai, this was more of an experiment of what they could get and do with the money saved especially if they can move out Lucic along with it

I think he was mocking (dry saddle... yeah wtv) anw, this doesn't seem realistic. MTL would certainly consider Draisatl with their 3rd pick. Again, next year potential lottery pick, Gallagher (core player) and Shaw (2 2nds) is good laugh! MTL will not rush their 1C in that case. They would add something, a good prospect or 3rd line guy, cause yeah, Draisatl is their ideal 1C, but that pick is their future star player too. So it will be for EDM. That goes with any pick that can will Zadina, Tkachuk, Wahlstrom or Hughes (and probably others) this year. Lucic is a no. Draisatl already costs 8M. Giving Lucic would lower Draisatl's value. There had been so many trades with Draisatl and MTL on this website, but nobody seemed to agree. I'd like to give Galchenuyk, 2020 1st round pick and B+ prospect for Drasaitl, but at the end, that won't be enough, and EDM doesn't have to trade him.
