Fixing Fletcher's (and Leipold's) mess. Caps and Oiler trades.

Description
Value opinions always welcome. Greenway, Kunin, and Yamamoto likely start the season in the AHL, but left on the roster to show future depth. I'd love to add Nurse and Brodin to the Oiler trade, but that many players in one trade will never happen. Potential to just swap out Nurse and Brodin for Larsson and Spurgeon too.

I think the trade is just too big. People are always going to debate the value, but when you look at it from Edmonton's side, they are giving up their top pairing RHD, guy with a ton of potential in Puljujärvi, Yamamoto who is top prospect with Puljujarvi in the NHL, and a 2nd round pick for a different and more expesnive RHD (who obviously has a different skillset), a different, more established, more expensive winger (coming off a career year), and a goalie who would be an upgrade, but doesn't really fit a need for them. When you just look at the deal, it's not overly eye catching for EDM. Zucker is a decent fit because he's speedy and could keep up well with McDavid, but he is also going to be looking at 5+ mil a year after a career year. I think if MN swapped out Dumba for Spurgeon, it would make Edmonton stop and think through it.
I'm not sure if EDM would be able to do the deal with it's current cap just like this, much less attempting to sign Strome and Nurse after.
Again, I think it's just too big of a trade. Spurgeon would be a good fit in Edmonton. Zucker would be a good fit in Edmonton. Puljujarvi would be a fresh power forward that MN needs. It just looks weird with everyone included and I think a smaller deal makes sense.

You have added a lot of cap which is good for this team (are you trying to add Tarvares...lol).

However, I don't believe this is a competitive team. You give opportunity to some young players to get minutes, which is good for a rebuild (not sure if that is what you are going for or not). The 3rd and 4th lines are very inexperience and base off of last years stats (of course things can change) the 3rd and 4th lines together only average 0.33 pts per game, again, that is combined 3rd and 4th line. That is a lot of pressure on lines 1 and 2 to produce every night and it is hard for me to see Mikko has a 1C anymore (that was a tough extension). Goaltending is also very inexperienced and iffy to me.

You do mention players starting in AHL, but you do you in fill instead?

Decent rebuild, but (in my opinion) this would be a non-playoff, potentially a lottery team.

Thanks for your reply. I should have explained my intentions. I am of the belief the Wild need a rebuild, not a tweak or two. I didn't bother signing free agents to fill roster spots as I think it's more effective to see my long-term plan with the young players I acquired in this scenario on the roster. I would fill 2-4 roster spots with experienced UFAs.
I couldn't agree more about Koivu - he is not now, nor has he ever been a legit #1 center. As a matter of fact, if this was the roster for the season, I would still probably not give him #1 center minutes.
Signing Tavares would be nice...but he is not in my plans here. I am looking for the Wild to get younger, bigger, faster, and more skilled. Tavares is great, but I don't think he is worth the absurd money (or term) he will get this summer...
I would be OK if this team did not make the playoffs as that would only bolster my rebuilding plans.
