Aside from all of the trading and signings going on, You should also look at the possible trade i have between Philly and ARZ.

Philly: 5th round pick, RW Dale Weise and Goalie Felix Sandstorm

ARZ: 2nd and 3rd round pick.

Arizona doesnt need more goalie prospects (at least not at the cost of a 2nd and 3rd) and Weise is a cap dump. That does nothing for them except add salary

Shouldn't the Leafs get more for Matthews than a one year rental, and a 24 year old minor league who can't make the Coyotes?

If you put it like that it sounds bad but it's OEL and the Leafs can extend him. It also addresses their biggest hole imo

Leafs can extend him? Maybe but he's a upcoming UFA. These trades don't happen. And really Matthews is a 40 goal scorer as a teenager. What has OEL really accomplished?
Would the Sabres make the trade....Eichel for OEL? You'd be laughed out of Batavia. Either trade doesn't make the Leafs or Sabres better....actually a lot worse. Leafs have plenty of LHD is no where close to their biggest hole. What they really need are centres (they only have Matthews and Kadri) and RHD.

If the Sabres had 2 other 20 year olds that were 60 to 70 pointers and need to improve their D i wouldnt dismiss it. Sabres arent in the same situation as Toronto, Eichel is their offense. Toronto would still have Nylander, Marner, Kadri. Buffalo would have ROR

OEL is on record wanting to stay in Arizona, No way he's getting dealt for Matthews that ship has sailed away.

Yeah I was just looking at Toronto’s depth and it wasn’t as good as I thought, so I agree

I know what I did now, I was basing it off of a ACGM team that brought in Tavares
