I think the Rangers will be very active and want to move up as high as possible, which I think is 4th overall. Best case scenario would be that Zadina drops there but most likely it'll be Dahlin, Svechnikov, and Zadina top 3. Hughes or Wahlstrom at 4 would be great imo. Then a high-risk, high-reward pick with Merkley with their other first

    To be honest I think Fox will sign in Calgary. Reports are that he is looking to get paid sooner than later.

    That being said, I take this deal any day of the week if I'm Calgary. From an NYR standpoint you'd have to really want Fox because as a NY state kid if he tests free agency, you can just wait and sign him as a UFA

    Take out Zucc and it's a fair deal for both sides. Trading for him would get him here a year earlier.

    Ditto, I have not seen that reported anywhere. I think he is more likely to sign with them if he isn't traded. People will always worry about him testing free agency but I don't believe theres any real reason to worry yet for Calgary fans

    What is your source here? I mean hey if the Rangers could get Fox for a third I'd be giddy but I don't think thats likely. But regardless I like Fox and I think Calgary is definitely a great trading partner for the Rangers. Calgary has no picks in the first three rounds, Rangers have a ton including three firsts. Something is there for sure

    The Rangers could try and wait but I think taking the chance he goes to free agency is a big risk they shouldn't take. And I would really want Fox. I don't know if thats the right trade but I think NYR and Calgary are great potential trade partners before/during the draft

    LOL that is not a source and it will take a hell of a lot more than a 3rd round pick to pry Fox from the Flames right now. His value has sky rocketed since his draft day.
