The Leafs probably won't take that trade. Simmonds isn't the type of player that fits the mold of their team. It doesn't make sense on the contract side either.

So you want the Leafs to trade Nylander for a 3rd liner, a depth D, a mid to late 1st and a 3rd round pick...? Good luck with that.

That Minnesota trade doesn't make sense either. They're trying to save as much money as they can not spend most of it on 1 guy. They already have over 20+ mill wrapped in 2 guys that are 5 years past their prime. I don't think it makes sense for them to add another overpayed player to the mix.

Simmer isn’t a 3rd liner, just FYI. Just shrink of a Kadri/Simmer line...that would be hard to play against. Hagg is a big stay at home d man and then picks. Ya I think it’s fine, especially after the disappearing act of Nylander when the games mattered.

As for Voracek, I’m not sure why you think he is overpaid. He finished top 15 in points this year. Better than Tavares who is about to be making $11+ per year. MIN is a **** show and can’t seem to go anywhere in the playoffs. Adding a highly skilled RWer seems like a smart idea to change things up. Plus the cap hits are basically the same except I am taking an extra $4.6 for this year allowing MIN some flexibility.

simmons one. year contract makes a no deal for the Leafs. leafs have enough lhd making the hagg not a necessary addition. lehner might like the change to philly. a better team might help his psyche.

The Mrazek trade required the Flyers to give up a 2019 3rd rounder if they did re-sign him. Since they aren't, they get to keep the pick

Hence the return of the pick in my first “trade”

My bad, didn't realize that was defaulted incorrectly.
