I see Johnsson signing 1 year deal to prove he is full time NHL great player.

As for lineup, I would do it like this:

Hyman-Matthews-Brown
Marleau-Kadri-Marner
Johnsson-Nylander-Kapanen
Grundstrom-Lindholm-Leivo
Aaltonen, Martin (if Martin gone then leave a hole there and callup anybody significant from Marlies if needed)

Gardiner-Hainsey
Rielly-Ozhiganov/Holl
Dermott-Zaitsev
7th.. Ozhiganov/Holl (Carrick probably gone)

Andersen (McElhinney)

I think the lineup is really close.....Here's my take
Grundstrom, Matthew, Mariners. Grundstrom sorta has the same role as Hyman but Matthews and Marner are two "veterans on the line.
Johnson, Nylander, Hyman. Nylander and Hyman still together, Johnson will show he's an NHLer winger. I think Johnson is signed to at least three years\
Marleau, Kadri, Kapane
Martin/Leivo, Aaltonern. Lindholm. Brown

Reilly, Ozhignavov
Gardiner, Hainsey
Dermot. Zaitsev
Borgman. If Ozzie doesn't work out, Dermot plays on the right side

Andersen and Sparks. Leafs have to see if Sparks is an NHLer.

i really wanna see johnsson and kapanen on the same line with kadri or willy down the middle. I think that would be awesome. Such a fun line

I guess the only reason I don't see that fun would be together is because of Babcock....the killer of fun. Just having three rookies together (Nylander as a rookie centre) doesn't seem wise especially early in the season.
With the Leafs incorporating so many new players....Johnson, Kapanen, Grundstrom, Aaltonen, Lindholm, Dermot, Bogman, Ozzie and Sparks., the Leafs make actually have less points than in 2017/18, but long term, a benefit.
