Scheifele is top10 C in NHL, Trouba is top pairing defenceman and Connor is going to have career full of 30+ or 40+ goal seasons. And what you are getting back is pile of parts from which even the best part is worse than the worst thing on WPG's trade assets, Let me write closely..
-Zuccarello.. top-6 winger with abilities to score around 50-60 points. Good defensively, responsible.. Connor is 9 years younger and already better.
-Shatty.. has both modified NTC and NMC, he signed with Rangers to stay in NY area close to home. That's 1st thing. 2nd.. he is ONE DIMENSIONAL PLAYER, great offensive guy, not so great defensively. Trouba is both.
-They would be having ANY return on the position of Scheifele actually.
-next players..
-DeAngelo, Gropp.. AHL/NHL up and down guys. DeAngelo has potential to be fulltime NHLer and a good one, Gropp would not be fulltime NHLer.
-Skjei.. Top-4 defender with upside, has good value and is good at both ends of the ice
-Vesey is 4th liner.
-And 1st next year is making just small difference..
