Description
Kulikov is good player but he costs too much, so the Jets need to move him. Dano is clearly not getting a shot with the Jets so we ship him off to Vegas for a pick. Kulikov goes with him as a salary dump because Vancouver has space.

Vancouver needs a better goalie than Nilsson so they trade for Mason to play a 1a 1b type situation.

The last trade is the 4th round pick from the Stastny trade which was conditional on Eric Foley signing with the Blues before August 21st. The Jets keep the pick because he signed. I don't know why Cap Friendly has not give the Jets the pick back yet.

Enstrom will be resigned by the Jets because of loyalty. Lemieux is ready and provides the 4th line with scoring. Hutchinson is resigned to fil the backup spot until Comrie is ready in 2019-2020

Stastny is signed one year to win a cup. If he preforms well, the Jets can always bridge Connor and resign Stastny at 4.5 million the following year.

Vesalainen and Appleton are not ready and they both start in the AHL.

Copp, Poolman, Comrie are first call-ups.

There will be bonus overages but with this team it will be okay.

I dont agree with statsny and 1 year. Hes had a great postseason and hes 32. Hes the second best center meaning whoever misses out on tavares will probably over pay him he could get 6mil and 4 or 5 years from someone. I doubt he passes on it.

But 6 million at 5 or 6 years is on a team like MTL which is no where near a contender

Yeah but its 30 million compared to 5 and some good teams may go after him. San jose id think, maybe new jersey or the islanders.

The islanders will always be question marks unless they solve their goaltending problems
New jersey is just too young.
I think he wants to win a cup, But this will not happen. He probably leaves and Roslovic becomes our 2c because the jets cannot keep stastny long term.

"If" first of all. Are you really going to let your season die because of an if? Are you really going to waste Petterson's first year on an ELC because of an If?
The fact is that good GM's do not leave it to "if"s. Chevy went out and got Mason in case Helley wasn't ready. It's only one year. You have the cap space to bury him if needed or if he plays better than Markstrom, you can bury Markstrom.

first of all who said we were signing Petterson this season if he wants to stay in Vaxjo for one more year why wouldn't he, plus it didn't seem like our tandem this year ruined boeser's first full year, now did it. You have to run by if's because you cant always be 100% right all of the time.

Vancouver goaltending was pretty bad and Mason would be an upgrade over Nilsson and maybe even Markstrom. For the cost of a 6th it is nothing. Every thing else was ok. not great but OK
