Description
Picking in the top 3 means the habs are going to land either zadina or svechnikov. Both of these players are top 6 goal scoring wingers, which leads me to believe one of Pacioretty or galchenyuk (team views him as a winger) will be shipped out. Pacioretty can still play, at a high level as well, and shows the attitude I believe will keep him a hab. Galchenyuk becomes the odd man out, and will be moved as either part of a package for a top Center, or as I did here, a top 4 LHD to play with Weber or Petry. The habs are loaded at winger in the top 9 of the lineup, as well as possessing 4 2nd round picks should give them the ammunition to make a deal for a top 6 Center. I don’t think Stastny or Tavares will come to Montreal, but Bergevin will sign another top 9 from free agency to address the depth issues at Center, which explains the Riley Nash signing.

What would you guys be looking for? I included 2 top 9 wingers (Hudon, Shaw) as well as Lindgren who is better than any goalie buffalo has ATM, as well as a good wing prospect in scherbak, plus the early 2nd.

In many ways you are correct this is a fair trade. Buffalo has several middle 6 forwards Rodrigues, Bailey, Mittelstadt, Larsson, Girgensons. I will admit you are offering better ones. IMO Botterill would want a 2nd pair defenseman.

What about: Petry, Hudon, Lindgren +2nd for ROR, McCabe is more than fair IMO (I would keep Scherbak as Buff count many young like him)
