I’ve said it before, any ROR to MTL trade starts with Drouin and goes up from there. BUF is in no hurry to trade ROR like they were with Kane due to contract. Fact is that MTL will have to overpay for him bc they are in the same division. That’s just what it is.

Sabres do not need MTLs or anybodies AHL goalie. Established goalies dont even carry much value

Montreal is flush with wingers and goalies, the two positions that have the least value. We need d, preferably young and rhd, which they dont have. We are a horrible partner for them. But dont worry, check back later and there will be a half dozen galchenyuk or pacioretty plus a painless cast off prospect offers.

Lindgren is a good backup and Lehkonen deserves more than "anybodies"

What it means is: Buffalo does not need Montreal, or any other teams back up. Nothing about Lehkonen, i like him, but hes a bottom 6 forward. They have Ullmark and Lehner. If theyre getting another goalie its going to be a vet to bring Ullmark along. Ullmark is already the marked goalie going forward for Buffalo. Sabres are not looking at others

ROR is much better than Drouin. Stats aside, I hate anyone who spurns the advice of Steve Yzerman and acts the way he did.

At the same age as Drouin was this past season, ROR had 64 pts and was already a premier 2way C. He’s better than Drouin, by a good bit. Drouin has age and that’s pretty much the only asset he has over ROR but what do I know.
