1-6 Quinn Hughes, LHD Michigan
1-14 Bode Wilde RHD, Michigan
2-34: Jack McBain C, Boston College
3- 68: Jakub Skarek G, Jihlava Dukla
Skarek gives the Wings a good goaltending prospect to add to the organization
**** I believe Jack McBain will be the steal of the draft, and in two years, could be make Detroit very strong down the middle as a middle six centerman

I think Robin Lehner is also not going to be extended in Buffalo, and will be allowed to walk into free agency. Detroit could sign him as a bargain on a low risk, prove it deal to back up Howard. He could end up being a short term successor.

I know I am over the cap, and the lines are not supposed to be exact, but I am trying to show the depth in the organization.

Overall, the top 4 defense of the future is:

Hughes- Wilde (Top Pair)
Cholowski- Andersson

And the top six still needs to continue to add a couple pieces down the road, but with centers such as Larkin-McBain-Rasmussen- the future would be promising

This may be an underwhelming return, but Nyquist would essentially be a rental for Calgary, and Anderson is a very promising, NHL ready prospect with offensive ability and top four potential, and the Red Wings could bolster their right shot defenseman pipeline.

    I don't think Antipin is returning to Buffalo next season if they really do plan to improve their D next year. Antipin would be a nice, young addition, who will have every shot to succeed in Detroit.

      Pretty interesting trade for Philly (I'm a Philly fan). Seems pretty fair for both teams overall. Great job!

      Love it, Very nice job would rather have Adam Boqvist over Quinn Hughes but other then that. A very nice job and the RFA signings are pretty spot on as well.

      Like it all minus the Green deal. Don't need him clogging up the blue line at that cap hit with so many D prospects ready to try and make an impact.
