That is quite the hefty price to pay Derek Ryan, wow! At most, he is your 3C. For the price you have indicated, that would definitely get you JVR. Low balling Hanifan like that, might get you a solid bridge contract, but there is no way he would agree to a contract like that for more than 3 years. Finally, consider that even with new ownership, Carolina has an internal salary cap. There is no way they spend this much, generally, and I cannot see them holding onto 2 goalies that make an average of $5 million per season. Darling has to go if they plan to bring in Schneider.
