Description
let me know what you think about the Ottawa trade, Should I have offered more? I would like to see Bobby back with the ducks and I think bringing him back for a fresh start would be good for him especially a reunion with Getzlaf and Perry, I think if we added Hoffman he would be a great scoring threat for the second line. I think I low-balled Jack Johnson's contract but if the salary cap is supposed to rise anyways I think we wouldn't have a problem signing him to a bigger contract cap wise.

All very intriguing moves. Big fan of adding Hoffman to the team. Vancouver may want more. Interesting concept of having Arizona retain on Ryan.

Murray didn’t use his 1st to get Kane at the deadline so I highly doubt he trades 1st and 3rd at the draft. Also Eaves will be back for the start of next season based off of exit interviews today. Hurt his shoulder rehabbing form his condition and that’s why he didn’t come back at the end of season.

yeah but lets be real, these players are not rental players like Kane, yeah he can be resigned possibly by the sharks but at the end of the day he is still a rental player and the first makes sense to me because we would be getting Bobby Ryan (MAH BOI) where he can rekindle his flame with chemistry from Getz and Pers so he produces more and we get Hoffman who is an absolute beast when the team is good but I think a first is sufficient to be expendable for these two guys especially with the salary retention I think its a fair trade for both teams, maybe a bit of an overpayment on Anaheim's side but I genuinely think this would be a smart move for the ducks to make to strengthen the top six while still having a lethal third line and a revamped younger faster fourth line

as for the Eaves thing... I understand where you're coming from for the sake of this armchair GM I was either going to buy him out or trade him, I get Eaves is a fan favourite but I honestly don't think he'd be able to put up the numbers he did when we traded for him (yeah thats kind of a given but I don't see him getting anywhere near his 30 something goals he had back in 2017)
