Hes not a cap dump, hes not worth 5.5, but hes capable and servicable in a top 4 role

He also has a no movement clause, therefore he will not be traded.

... unless he waives. NMC's get traded all the time, they just have to agree to it.

Well he will have to be bridged then. The risk with that is he turns it up and then you have to pay him more. MTL got screwed with Subban, not saying Nurse is Subban, but bridge deals are risky also.

A long term deal for Nurse, based on reasonable comps, is going to look very similar to what Larsson and Klefbom are making. If bridged, the deal would come in around $3M for 2 years. The advantage of bridge deal is that Sekera and Russell's NMC's are loosened in two years, meaning if Nurse commands $5M+ in 2020 the Oilers will have the cap room to pay him.
