Description
A couple of modest trades and long term signings. Vancouver can “win” Kane with term.

Plenty of room to sign rfas.

I wrote the comments on the wrong sides, my bad.

With 5 picks inside the top 75 or so in 2019 they should get a couple nhl players. They’ve been good at drafting with benning as gm.

I think this team could challenge for a playoff spot, it’s not great, but I think it is better.

Probably a fair trade for Elder, he would definitely take minutes away from Ristolainen, and as you said he is Elder (pun intended). Unfortunately, Buffalo is dead last and the addition of Elder most likely would not change that. So yes it is fair, but by the time the Sabres were ready, Elder would be gone.

I don’t think you can be sure of that. If they go in hard at jvr ( real possibility) and win #1 (Dahlin) I think they’ve gotten much better with Edler. Maybe even playoff contenders, but Beaulieu is crap so what are they actually paying? A 2nd a yeAr away and buffalo could probably sell edler at the deadline for a 2x 2nds.... Nick Holden ( a lot worse) got a 3rd and nhl ready prospect replacement.
