Description
Tavares gets 80/7

Stone gets acquired for a huge package, we get Stone, Ottawa gets the next 4 best players in the deal, we take two more contracts to fill out San Antonio roster next year.

Berglund gets traded to the GM who drafted him for a upgrade in draft position.

Bouwmeester can stay or get traded if the value is right. We have room to retain money as well to raise his value.

I would love to sign Wideman, I think he'd be a great 3RD for us. He's a good puck-mover, will be relatively cheap, and he's a local guy. I also signed Oduya as a veteran stopgap for Walman to develop, but I'd rather get Holden.

You are not getting a first for Bouwmeester and Army will not trade away both Kostin and Thmopson, he would not give up one of them for Hoffman this deadline.

Bouwmeester at 2.7 Million would definitely get a 1st at the deadline as a rental, so why wouldn't he get that at the draft? And Thompson/Kostin are made expendable by acquiring a RW with term.

Because he cannot stay healthy, and I am not saying I disagree I am just saying Armstrong will not trade away the prized possessions that he drafted.

Yeah, Bouwmeester is not worth a 1st.... this past deadline, Mike Rielly got a 5th, Ian Cole got a 3rd and low end prospect, Morrow got a 4th and all these guys have low cap hits and are much younger.
Bouwmeester gets at best a 2nd at the deadline if he is not injured and playing regularly.

2nd at best is generous. Maybe add Walman or Schmatlz with Bouwmeester and late first is possible. but we probably need those guys to get a 2nd. I know i've said this before, but please get Michael McLeod!

Criminy. If it isn't Blackhawks fans with Anisimov, Canucks fans with Sutter, or Caps fans with Eller, it's Blues fans with Berglund. (And Oil fans with Russell as well, but he's not a C...)

No, we are not taking your slightly-overpaid middle-6 C with an extended contract without sending salary back. We have Panarin and Bobrovsky and Werenski to retain a year from now, and your middle-6 C is not good enough for us to risk not being able to keep those core guys.
