That isn't "all it does", it also makes us strong cup contenders. I love our prospects as much as the next fan, but Tavares is a known commodity. The chance to sign a prime aged star player comes around very rarely. I put Frost on the roster and I have Allison penciled in mentally to replace Simmonds someday soon. Other than that, who is being blocked here? Rubtsov? I know I'd rather have Tavares than hope a middling prospect finds his game..

I love this team!!! We have loads of room to get JT now but it does make me consider 'are we wrecking the future in 4-5yrs time by signing JT now'. That top 6 is so lethal really don't know which is the top line and already having 2 top 6 on the 3rd line with potential of a 3 top 6 on 3rd line is rediculars but that is the situation hexy has put this team in. And im more than happy to have that conundrum.
We would be contenders from next season to the next decade at least
