Why would Lucic waive his no movement clause to go to Colorado? Why would we pay a 32 year old well worn C 20M+ over three years to play on the third line? And is it really a good idea to have Slepechev - who has yet to score 10 goals in a season - on the top line?

why? because i told him that i dont want him and its play in colorado or go on LTIR for the rest of his career. why pay one of the best centers in the league 6.5M on a short term deal to play 3C? because i can afford to and center depth is actually pretty important eh? yes it is a good idea to have a fast, skilled, CHEAP winger with a shoot first mentality play beside mcdavid on the top line. if you understood the game of hockey at all you wouldnt be asking these questions, the answers would be quite obvious

If taking Lucic meant adding a 1st and 3rd for lets say a 6th , You'll have a lot of teams calling. That's highway larceny IMO.

i agree, but any time anyone suggests that lucic isnt actually the worst hockey player in the NHL and might have a little value if u retain like 1.5M they say ur wrong and hes an ECHLer now

People are too wishy washy on here. Its all about what have you done for me lately..... Regardless your bringing up a different aspect. I was simply saying if you pay me a 1st and 3rd to take him off your hands, its done in a heartbeat. He'd have to waive of course.

Dear Craig Button,

I was wrong - putting Slepechev with McDavid is a great idea. And of course Lucic will waive his no movement clause - he’s a ECHLer. Stasny is bargain at twice the price. Maybe we can sign his dad, too. And Evander Kane! A real character guy. Your team is elite.

Sincerely,

Peter Chiarelli

100% agree. We have too many hockey insiders on this site its nauseating at times.. With that said, he does have to waive to be able to be traded. If he doesn't like where he's being traded to, he can say no if he wants. So it does play a factor but we simply don't know his preferences.

I never say that, nor did I say that? Just said "he'd have to waive of course.".... juts pointing out that he COULD choose to not waive also. That is an option.

People who act like insiders and say that they know a player would or wouldn't waive to go somewhere are one of my biggest pet peeves on here.
