Why would Toronto give up Marner, a big piece of their young team, AND a 1st round pick for a 28-year old defenseman that comes with a $6.5M cap hit? Sure, Pietrangelo is a good defenseman, but Marner has a lot more years of good hockey ahead of him than Pietrangelo, and is a key piece to what Toronto is doing. He's put up 60+ points in both of his years in the NHL and he's only getting better. No chance Toronto gives you that package for Pietrangelo.

Don't be absurd. We're not trading Panarin. Not unless you're willing to offer a replacement - like, say, Tarasenko.

I like the Winnipeg and Carolina deals, we might have to add a bit more to both though. I'm not convinced Allen is a lost cause, he just needs to work on his positioning with the coaches. He has all the tools to be a great goalie. Let's just wait till Panarin hits the open market and he may want to come play with Tarasenko. Keep Petro, he's not the problem either.
