True, but apparently Ceci could have got Hall in 2016... wouldn’t count things out.

RNH + pick for Hoff +pick would be much saner, but again, it's Chia as the GM. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if it was Drai instead of RNH.

If Edmonton acquires Gabbo and buys him out, the cap space created would be enough to sign FAs to handle other gaps in the lineup. McDavid's and Drai's contract is kicking in, so they need as much space as they can get.

Edmonton's best signing in the offseason would be to hire a new GM. It's painful to watch what's happening over there, there is so much good talent being squandered

lol you were saying that the proposal was bad but then you come up with this?

You won't find many Sens fans who would do just Hoffman for RNH + 2nd

That being said, Wing is a need for Ottawa, not Center, so why would they trade a Wing for a Center?

You're comfortable with JGP as your second line centre ?

For 1 year with Ryan and Stone? yes.

Those 3 have a nice chemistry together. Many times Ryan has fed Pageau some easy goals. Stone is close to Elite, he makes his teammates significantly better.

Logan Brown, Drake Batherson, Colin White and Filip Chlapik are all centers. Chlapik and White will be either 2nd or 3rd line centers, while sky is the limit for Brown and Batherson.

Hoffman-Duchene-Dzingel
Ryan-Pageau-Stone
Zadina-Chlapik-White

is my top-9 next season (of course, assuming Zadina is the Sens first)

I don't think they will gun to win the Cup next season anyway, but more like a season in preparation for contending again. Also, have to avoid giving up a high pick to Colorado so making the playoffs would be huge. If EK is back to form and if they can somehow get better goaltending and coaching, it's very possible.
