I think Subban’s not leavin Carolina

*But I'm not sure about the balance of the exchange, so I ask people's opinion.

Nashville wins this trade, it makes no sense for CAR to give up Rask and Teräväinen for Bonino Smith and a pick . Rask and Tera are younger and much better than those two. And then Subban is not that much better than Faulk to outweigh how much better Rask and Tera are than Smith and Bonino.
If CAR trades Faulk it will be for a center. Like a RNH or Galchenyuk or someone like that.
Essentially -

Bonino < Rask by a decent amount
Smith < Tera by a lote
Subban > Faulk by a little
plus Trenin and a 4th...
the 3rds are pointless and wash.

1) Subban > Faulk by a little ----> not a little. Mb medium, but not a little. One of the main reasons for this deal is Subban's incredible popularity. Carolina needs a player like him.
2) Bonino < Rask ----> so yeah, i can accept. I should delete this part of trade...
3) Smith < Tera by a lote ---> yes, but thats why it is part of trade.
Subban+Smith(RETAINED 1m)+4+Trenin(was 2nd round pick)=Faulk+Tera - 100% And it's possible that Nashville will be a loser here. (Thats why i prefer to add Bonino-Rask trade).
It is possible that instead of the fourth, Nashville could give the second round pick. Mb....

Weber wasnt going to leave Nashville, but wouldnt u capitalize if someone asked u if u want to trade ur older defensive defenseman for a younger offensive one that fits perfectly with your environment?!
That trade was like Edmonton asking for Crosby for McDavid. The Pens on the other 99.99% of the occasions of a trade offer for Crosby say no, but McDavid’s that other 0.01%. (Just like Nashville had in their opportunity to deal Weber and get Subban).

What about?:
PK+Smith(1m retained)+4th<->Faulk+Tera+3rd. It is looks balanced.
*And if we want add part-> Bonino-Rask, NSH will add Trenin+2nd 2020. Lorentz, S. also here.

Tuevo is as close to off limits as I think you can get on the Canes right now. Tuevo and Aho have formed quite the chemistry and it would be hard to see them trading either one at this point. They are both young Fins who compliment each other well, all they need is a Center who can keep up. Id rather move Faulk elsewhere if it means we have to give up Teuvo. Don't get me wrong, PK would be amazing in red but I dont think the benefit outweighs the risk of letting Tuevo go.

I actually like this trade, think its pretty close to fair value. I just don't think NSH makes this move, or PK signs off on it, and it doesn't really fix the 1C and Goalie issues that the Canes have.
