- Kane gets more AAV.

- Lots to digest in the Price and Weber trades.

- Feel like the value is there on the Patches deal, not sure if LA is going to want to trade Villardi though.

- Froese Trade is fine.

- Not sure you can get a 1st for Petry.

-Clifford likely gets a late round pick at best... his cap hit and term hurts his value.

- Feel like Weber to Philly is interesting... they obviously had wanted him. Getting rid of A-Mac is a plus. Just a big trade to digest.

- Even if the value is there for the Price trade, which I am not sure it is, doubt Price waived his NMC to go to Carolina

No one is going to give you assets for Price. . . . .you'll need to take major money back, and reduce the assets coming back! Good goaltender. . . .aging. . . . and a BAD contract! Same circumstance for the Weber contract!

Weber when he’s healthy is a top 10 defenseman in the NHL, you could ven argue Top 5 if you wanted to. I can’t see Montreal acquiring a trash player on a horrible contract, a first that will likely be late and a decent prospect that will need 2-3 more years in development before NHL ready for a player of his caliber.

Please stop. Just face it, Price and Weber would both. Bring back significant valuable assets if they were to be traded. Look around the league, teams work through bad contracts to get the guys they think are going to get them to win. They are both elite players who would help teams win, they are also both highly respected as leaders in the league.

Being realistic I just don’t see them getting moved because of management not willing to, not because lack of interest.

There seems to be this notion on this site that neither of them would bring back anything in a trade, teams wouldn’t even pick them up off waivers blah blah blah. People need to face it, even with bad contracts they would still bring back the biggest and most valuable assets if they were to be traded.

Evander Kane is underpaid by at least $2 million, And there's no way Petry is waiving for Dallas to chose Montreal because it's still close to his Michigan home.

If you believe Weber and Price both injury prone, over 30, and with 8 years left on their respective contracts, (and $150M) can bring back significant assets, then I have some swamp land in Florida I'd like to talk to you about! You must believe in tooth fairy's and Santa Clause as well! Surprised with a handle like Subbanator, it should be Berginnator!

And with that reply the realization this argument could be debated with logic and reason went out the window, good day and good luck in your future ventures.
