I think a top 4 D and Lindgren with his potential is more valuable than 2 2nds. I like the Tavares contract, but hopefully Tavares is enticed by the look of this team. If not, he may ask for an overpayment.

I think MTL will give the highest bid on Tavares this summer but he's not going for the money ... He's going to win and the only thing that would entice himto sign with MTL is if we get the 1st overall and draft Dahlin. Then with him and weber 1st pair, Price back in shape and a first C in him... everything is possible.

You're making that up. He has never said anything of the sort, and nor has his agent. So unless you're his drinking buddy, I doubt you have any greater insight than the rest of us. Truth be told, 99% of UFAs go to the highest bidder, unless they opt to take a hometown discount. Never forget, these guys are in it for the money.

This team look solid and you have room to overpay for JT something like 4x15M+3x10M= 7y @ 12,85M/year.
Decent to solid top 6 + I like the third line... might keep Shaw if needed and we have cap space.
We would need to draft Boqvist and bring him next to Weber.
With that line up... I seriously think we could be contender for 2-3 years... before Weber, Carlson, Price falls apart!
