Description

Habs draft one of Brady Tkachuk, Evan Bouchard, or Noah Dobson depending on where they finish after draft lottery. (fingers crossed they get Dahlin)

in Pacioretty trade, Habs get a 1st rd pick in the 20+ range and draft a center prospect (Lundestrom, Groulx, Kupari, Hayton)

With Patches gone, Habs announce one of Gallagher or Weber as captain, both are excellent choices!

Habs prospect Poehling stay in NCAA for 2018-19 season and will continue to play for team USA at World Juniors.

Habs sign Jake Evans to entry level contract. Evans only signs with MTL because of a guarantee he starts the season in NHL. without that guarantee, he will likely leave as a UFA. Habs insert him on a line with Lehkonen and newly signed Plekanec who will mentor him, and both alternate C responsibilities.

Habs try and trade Schlemko for picks...no takers. So to free up space on defense for the signing of De Haan, Habs trade him for Burrows (who was recently on waivers), both have one year left on their contract, both have similar term.

Habs trade Shaw and DLR for pick and prospect, this follows the new "get younger, faster" philosophy administered by Bergefail.

I wouldn't consider Dubé a Center. the guy is a cheaper version of Kyrou imo (can play both positions). I would like to have him, but I think his value right now is still a bit inflated due to his great World Junior stint (where he played on the wing, just fyi)
