Rangers can't sign Shestyorkin yet. He has another year on his KHL contract. He might need a month or so in the AHL to get used to the American sized rink. I can see Lundqvist being moved once Shestyorkin is signed.
Putting Andersson on the 4th line will not help him develop, he is better playing another season in the AHL. Same with Chytil. Chytil is a center that can play wing but he should be playing center. Keep them both down next season and give them both another year to develop. No need to rush them while we are rebuilding.
I wouldn't get rid of Vesey yet. We can extend him to a 2 year 1.65M contract (matches Fast's remaining contract). I'm not ready to give up on him yet, If he is traded two 4ths is not worth it. We can get a 2nd rounder.
Sign Paul Carey to a 1 year extension because he is a good 4th line center who plays hard and is good depth. He won't cost a lot either.
Spooner will get a longer term than 2 years. He will file for Arbitration most likely. Comparable contract will be close to Galchenyuk who is making 3x4.9M. I'd pay Spooner 4x4.5-4.75M.
Skjei should get 5-6 years but the amount is good.
Yeah, Shestyorkin & Rykov won't get to North America until 2019.
Agreed, If Andesson isn't playing top 9 minutes (same with Chytil) better off playing in Hartford, at least initially.
Agreed, signs Vesey to 2 years 1.625 MIL & see if his game evolves, he's still only 25.
No interest in Carey. Internally, Nieves , externally Derek Ryan, 2 years 1.5 -1.75 .
Spooner gets 4 years between 4 -4.5.
Skjei gets 6 @ 5,25
Vlad gets 5 @ 5-5.25
Hayes gets 4 @ 4.5 -4.8
Also think NYR signs a more seasoned backup. Georgiev was wildy average in Hartford this year with the exception of a 10 game run.
Sign Huthcinson or Chad Johnson (hes worked with Allaire before) to 1 year 1.3 -1.6 mill , let Georgiev & Halverson play in Hartford, if Hank gets hurt, give him a shot to start with one of the Vets playing behind him.
