I don't understand Bowman's thought process with this deadline. Hartman and Q don't get along, Anisimov isn't a necessity on this team after Panarin left, Rutta would fetch a good return he's vastly underrated. Wingels would help a struggling Philly PK and is a perfect fit on Broad Street. Gustafsson doesn't really fit in with al the up and coming D men. I would be open to moving Murphy in the offseason if it means signing Carlson.

Make these moves and let some of the Rockford kids play. Louis and Highmore have been impressive. Give them experience and see how they do. It won't hurt at this point the season is pretty much over.

Just curious, is it poor work ethic or a disdain for authority? If so, trading Hartman to play under Torts probably wouldn't work out too well for him either.

Some of it might just be posturing on Bowman's side. I saw CBJ offered a 3rd rounder for AA and wanted the Hawks to retain salary. Very low-ball offer so he may be trying to drive up prices on his best pieces.

Hartman is a gritty two way player Torts would love to have. Q just doesn't like him for whatever reason. It's hard to figure out why he doesn't like players. It seems like sometimes it's over the smallest things.
