Why does LA trade Toffevli who has 3 more goals than Patches and has a contract one year longer? No one trades picks like that anymore cause you never know how the lottery balls will fall.

While I agree it would never happen straight up as LA would need to add, it drives me nuts when people compare players solely based on the current year point performance. By your logic, you wouldn't trade William Karlsson for Seguin because he has less points and is a UFA after next year.

Well if we are talking about the Kings wanting to strengthen there team for this years playoff.....to me Patches for Tofflevi doesn't make Kings better. And Kings seem to plenty of LWer, adding Patches adds to that position while trade takes away from the needed RW position.
