Looks fine until the McDonagh trade. Rangers don't need Namestnikov, at 25 he's great but they're rebuilding. Foote is a trash prospect. Bottom 6 defender in this league on a contending team.

He’s 19. Has been excellent in juniors. You can’t call someone a trash prospect unless their development goes unexpected. Which so far Foote has showed no signs of. Would definitely take him on rangers if trade was right.

None of his development has gone unexpected. He was drafted as a big, conservative, stay-at-home defenseman, who is weak at skating and possessing the puck zone to zone. If he meets his expectations he will be a low-middle 6 d-man.

He would be a terrible centerpiece to a McDonagh trade. I'm looking at every other contender here (they wouldn't trade McD within division):
