I have no idea where you get the idea Murray is going to want 11mil. He isn't the best goalie in the league. Chicago faced same thing when Corey Crawford won 2 cups(albeit not back to back but in 13 and 15)
Crawford signed a 6 yr 36mil contract. Which is right around what Murray would get. maybe 7mil.
Murray is not one of the top 10 goalies. Has never been a Vezina nominee. His stats this year are very pedestrian. Murray also can't stay healthy. Last season he started 47 games. This season if he stays healthy he'll eclipse 50 for the first time in his career.
Not saying he isn't a good goalie he is but these are arguments why he likely won't get an 11mil deal
