Toews shouldn't be on the roster, Bergeron, Couturier, or Schenn could fill his role.

I agree toews SHOULDNT... but do you really think team Canada would leave him off? hes pretty much a lock IMO. I agree there are many players who deserve it more, but the politics of hockey still favour toews.

I guess for leadership purposes toews and keith could be on. When you're dealing with national teams the rosters can change so drastically because of how many good players there are.

exactly. plus team Canada favourites Jeff Carter and shea weber also have a shot at making this team due to politics

marchand-crosby-bergeron line is untouchable. no if ands or buts. it was DOMINATE during the World Cup

i know i agree. was just pointing out that bergeron was already on the roster. the guy who posted the comment i quoted seemed like he didnt see him on the first line

in all seriousness though, some guys who I excluded from my list include: Sean couturier, Ryan getzlaf, Sean monahan, John huberdeau, Eric staal, mark stone, etc...
do some of those guys deserve to make it over toews? depends who you ask. theyre all having fantastic seasons, better than toews, but certainly do not have the pedigree that he has. team Canada has so many amazing players it would be more fair to the rest of the world if we had team Ontario, team west, and team Quebec/ east coast

I dont love the blue line. Keith isnt the player he use to be and vlasiic and gio are getting a bit old. Where are the young canadian dmen. Ekblad or morgan reilly maybe.

I could see them picking reilly due to his skating ability and the big ice. but... like I said, team canada is VERY political. they LOVE Keith and vlasic. couldn't picture them not getting selected
