Eaves getting sick was a big loss, but probably wouldn’t have made much of a difference. RCs system doesn’t work with this team. Our core is slow by today’s NHL standard and so is Eaves. Therefore, we don’t have the personnel to play the counter-attack style of hockey RC wants to play. Moreover, Bieksa is still in the line-up. The main change that needs to happen is to remove RC. He’s stuck in the past, where D-men defend and only defend and forwards attack. This is why Bieksa is in the line-up, because he’s an old skool, gritty D-man, and why dynamic, offensive-minded guys like Montour have been struggling.

Yeah, fire RC, bring in someone that is going to embrace the team we have by implementing a strong cycle game.

We get it. You don’t like RC. He’s still an upgrade from Bruce I Choke When It Matters Boudreau

Jackson_Jung asked Duck fans “would having Eaves in the line-up have made a difference?”. I’ve given my opinion. Feel free to do the same or you could just continue bashing me. However, I would warn you, you won’t last too long on here doing that.

In regards to RC vs BB, I’m not really sure why you even mentioned BB, I suspect it was a weak jab at me and my opinion of RC (I assume you’re a fan). Regardless, I liked BB more because we had an entertaining team to watch and he always got the best out of our guys. However, you’re right, I was tired of falling short every time and I think his firing was the correct decision. I’m hoping CHI or EDM fire their respective coaches this year so we can take those guys. JQ would be great in ANA. Would also have grabbed Claude Julian when he was sacked, but we’d already committed to RC.
