Strome hasn't been good at center. I'd prefer a true center.

Good lord do you severely undervalue Pittsburgh's assets. If the Penguins were to trade Hornqvist at the deadline, he'd be one of the top hauls even with UFA status. Hornqvist is on his way to his 5th straight 20 goal season and is a model of consistency. Bennett has come nowhere close to Hornqvist numbers, ever. I like Bennett, but, if Bennett for Hornqvist was the main part of the deal, I'd expect Calgary to be kicking in additional pieces even without a resign of Hornqvist.

Gustavsson is one of the Penguins top prospects, that Rutherford has said teams are asking about this year. If traded, he'd be used to get a much stronger piece than Strome or Letestu. Rutherford also isn't going to trade away two of his goalies. With these trades, Jarry or Murray get injured, and the Penguins are dressing a career AHLer as a backup.
