Very good trades! The only thing I think would make it better is if in the Kane trade you changed Aberg to Victor Arvidsson and made the pick a 2020 5th round.

Arvidsson is way more valuable than Aberg. I doubt Nashville would do straight swap Arvidsson for Kane, let alone add picks to it. I mean Arvidsson had 60 points last year and is on pace for 55+ this year, and he's young. Nashville have no reason to let him go for a rental that may not even be better than him in Kane.

Good trades, I think you are close to what Botterill would receive in return maybe not what he would want in return. For that I think you earned 5 stars.

I cannot decide if that WAS trade is good for Buffalo, I do not see Faschings in the NHL, his performance is not even average on the Amerks only 7 goals in 37 games so I do not mind dumping another DATM acquisition but that 2nd could be a near 1st. Look for what Darling and Talbot were traded (3rd and late 2nd & 3rd respectively) and their GK stats were very comparable to Philipp Grubauer's. If you want to examine Sabre history both Neuvirth and Enroth were traded for only 3rds. So I sort of doubt WAS would trade him for less than you are offering (I do not think they want to trade him so Botterill would have to over pay if he wanted him) but that is more than recent back up GK have brought back (if you exclude the gross over payment for Lehner).

Pulliot for a 3rd seems to be an even trade and a fair return for a UFA Botterill signing

Åberg, P and a 1st is no where near what Botterill is asking for Kane, but there are a lot of LW UFA's on the market this year so maybe that is the best Botterill could get.

Gorges may return more IMO. Who would you rather have on your team Mike Weber or Josh Gorges? Weber was traded for a 3rd, IMO Gorges will bring that if not a bit more (a 2nd seems too much but maybe a 3rd and another pick) but this is a fire sale so maybe Botterill cannot be too hard lined (see Kane).

McKeown, R, Faulk, J, and 2018 2nd round for O'Reilly and Lehner seems a bit light but again this is a fire sale so maybe that is the best Botterill could do. As much as I think DATM over paid for Lehner and O'Reilly, I would want more in return so I think I would keep Lehner and O'Reilly if this is the best Botterill could get in return.

I certainly do not want him to miss out on trades, nor do I want him to over pay to get a bunch losers as DATM did. But even as an over payment DATM paid a LOT more for each Kane, Lehner and O'Reilly. But this is a fire sale so I guess anything is possible.

Bogo is on LTIR so he could not be traded to a team trying to win this year, so he does not need to be buried just put on LTIR.

To insert a pick into a trade just click on the teams pick and it will be inserted into the trade and then show up as a Buffalo draft pick.

After some discussion elsewhere I think we could extract an extra prospect or pick of McKeoens worth in the ROR deal. Makes the deal a bit sweeter for Botterill and more likely to happen. Doubt it hurts Carolina much to add in an extra 2nd+4th in future drafts or some non-elite forward prospect (say Zykov). I think the retention already included could help in getting that.

Regarding adding the picks, you cant add 2018 picks in 18-19 season so have to put them in manually.
