I think hudon is greatly overrated here.. top 6 potential maybe.. top 3 no way.

I personally see hudon as a sure thing to crack a top 6 spot on most teams. He's basically there now... albeit, on a bad habs team, but one that has no shortage of depth on the wing. As a rookie, he's a puck posession beast at 56%, he can play all 3 positions in a bind, is good defensively... his only problem has been his astonishing/unlucky 3% shooting percentage (boeser and keller are the only rookies who are outshooting him). So yes i think he has top 3 potential.

An Elite defenseman in his prime for a overpayed dman and bad forwards (minus hudon)

McCarron is not a bad forward. He has a clear top 6 potential. Though Oliver Ekman-Larsson would be worth more if he wasn't on Arizona, I still believe this trade is quite even.

Buddy it doesn't matter if McCarron is good or not arizona is giving up OEL

If I were arizona I would not do patch for OEL and I would take patch over McCarron Hudon Alzner and a 2nd anyday

Arizona is in a rebuilding mindset, OEL has no place on the team. As for Montreal, they will need to rebuild unless they improve their team.

His low shooting % is because he is a slow skater and has to shoot from far out because he isn't fast enough to get to the scoring areas, his shot is ok but he can't even be compared to Keller or boeser... he will improve his game once he gets more comfortable in the big league but he isn't a 1st liner and will never be one
