Probably not all that far. Tavares would take them 90% of the distance left to cover. Habs have lost a dozen one-goal games. Tavares helps reduce that number and a healthy Weber and Price, and more mature Mete and Jerabek, would also knock the GAA down by, what, another .3 GAA. That's right in the hunt with Boston, Toronto and even TB.

Tavares isn't "it," but he's really, really close to being all they need. Him and Price to not be fighting the puck like he did for the first 12 games.
