You must be dreaming. His play this year does not warrant anything near these returns. He’s already declining and only getting older

Go with your first thought and Anaheim. . . . .it's the only deal on the board that is even close to realistic!

Pacioretty is a 35 goal scorer, plays the PK, plays physically, goes to the front of the net, who has always played for a no offense team and no center better than a 3rd liner. You guys are idiotic if you think hes worth less than these. They're good deals for all teams involved. Please do some research before you spew ignorant comments

Also a lot of these deals have already been rumoured by many professional analysts. So I guess you dumbies know more than professionals right?

So 1.5 years of Pacioretty to Florida is worth 2 1st round picks+2nd considering that Tippett is a #1 pick get real. Just because Patches has had good year previous doesn't mean his value is this high he will be 30 in November and starting to trend down in the opposite direction.

Forget Larkinisking... he is always complaining about everything and everyone but never commit himself with structural and complete ideas! He just like to insults peoples.
I personally think that NYI & STL deal are feasible and make sense for both side even if NYI priority must be at Defense but to help signing Tavares for long term, bringing Pacc would definitely help.

In fairness, it is a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately league.

I agree with the "go with Anaheim" suggestion. The FLA deal is reasonable with some tweaking, but it's not clear why they would do it before the trade deadline and once you're into the offseason, there are a lot of other deals they could make.

We all say Torts hates Pacioretty, but Torts also likes to win. If he thinks Pacioretty can help the team win, he would welcome him with open arms. But I agree that he would not trade Dubois for Max, not even straight up. Habs would need to offer a second piece -- perhaps McCarron and a decent pick. Torts does love big bangers who can kill penalties.

Next question: do we really want to see another impressive French Canadian kid get eaten alive by the Antichambre?

not sure why you think 29 is getting older and declining. If he was 33, different story. 1 bad season should not devalue the 5x 30 goal seasons prior to this. Plus would anyone be shocked if he ends up with 20-25 goals this season? If we used your logic, OEL would be traded for a 2nd rounder right now, which he wont be.
