Too much for Lindgren and likely not yet topping out. He still needs more time in the AHL if he's going to be a starter in the NHL. I'd give him a 1-way with a plan for another year or two in Laval. Then go sign Aaron Dell from SJ for $2M.

As for JT signing in Montreal, ignore the trolls who act like their JT's best friend and they KNOW what he's thinking. They have no idea. What we know is there is the Islanders and everyone else. The Islanders have yet to put an offer to him that he thinks is worth inking. If he wants to stay there, he'll stay. There's a pretty good chance that he will. If he wants to maximize his earning possibilities, he should say he'll take offers up until 1PM on July 1 and will go to the highest bidder. I suspect there will be 5-6 bids that really make sense and can actually pay him. Montreal would be one of those.

Then the year after you have nothing to resign Hudon, Patch, Lehkonen, Byron and Benn. All contracts around 1M $ that will need to be increased. The Backlund signing is the one the messes everything. Should keep the 2nd C to Danault and have Evans or Poehling to take the 3rd C.
