    The problem is that WPG is a playoff team, and I bet any playoff team would prefer a top-line d-man over a declining prospect who has already been traded twice, a third-pair d-man and a third-line c, alongside with two draft picks. The package you're offering is good, but not necessarily what a playoff team wants.

    You're absolutely correct. Trouba might very well be traded this summer when he still has two years of control, but has you suggest, why would the Jets be sellers this season.
