I agree that Drouin has a higher ceiling but he needs to play in the top 6 and is not as effective elsewhere in the lineup. Lazar has been playing a regular NHL shift since he entered the league and can be slotted from the 2nd to the 4th line. Drouin has been scratched, sent to AHL and demanded a trade. Correct me if I'm wrong but the only comparable I can think of a RFA asking for a trade who was also a high pick is 3rd overall pick Kyle Turris who was traded to the Sens for David Rundblad and 2nd round pick.
