tavares will probably sign for another figure there. see 10 mill as the base. especially if it's taking him to essentially the end of his career. don't think vancouver makes that deal, but if smith turns it around we can get a decent return and Hayes is an RFA so we can hope he's signed to an offer sheet. with the way our team looks, we'll need the cheap players through draft than signing tanev in two years to a large contract

Think you just shown why this lineup isn't happening. Not enough for Tanev...especially that retention, and Tavares gets more. $$$$. Just no cap space.
